There are various curtain headings you can choose from, such as double or triple pleated, which are not available from Ready Mades. A custom made heading is symbolic of the degree of thought you have put into the overall design of the room.

Choosing Handmade curtains allows the Interior Designer to advise on the fabric, colour, texture and pattern and the type of pole or track. When measuring for the curtains, fabric books are brought to your home to see what they look like against your existing furniture and paint. We can also bring along pole samples, trims and provide a detailed drawing of the curtains before you choose the fabric.

Recently, more and more people are choosing hand made curtains as they have become an affordable option starting at €40 per width unlined and €55 per width lined. This includes the measuring service, hand stitched finished, bespoke heading, free fabric sample service, a selection of linings and advice on the colour palette of the room to match the walls and floors. We also advise on co-ordinating cushions, handmade footstools, wallpaper or a feature wall to bring the interior design of the room together.

A Roman Blind window treatment is perfect for smaller windows which could be overwhelmed by a pair of curtains. They sit neatly in the recess of the window without taking up space.

 

Roman Blinds are contemporary and minimalist and use a minimum amount of fabric. They fold up, concertina style, to create smart, sharp folds. If you have a radiator under the window a Roman Blind is the right choice.
